An outstanding athlete, who excels on special teams, McCourty still has the potential to become an even better corner.
Overview 2 kicks blocked in 2009. 1 kick blocked in 2008. 3 kicks blocked in 2007. Senior Bowl invitee. Measurements - arm: 31.5" hand: 8.75" Notes: Fairly cut build with broad shoulders. Strengths Nice size and speed. Can contribute on special teams as a returner, kick blocker, and coverage-man. Willing in run support. Weaknesses Doesn't get his hands on a lot of turnovers. Decent enough in coverage, but not a shutdown guy. Good speed, but not elite. Projection Could be a good #2 CB in the NFL someday, but not likely to ever be a Darrelle Revis. |
