Being British, Soccer isn't a sport, it is a way of life, a culture, a deep passion, and for Martin Roberts, it has been his life. Martin was born into Soccer in 1982 and some say, he was kicking a ball before he could walk, such was his natural desire for the game. At just 6 years of age Martin started participating in community training sessions from his local professional club, Everton FC, and over a decade learnt all the valuable skills required to excel at the sport. Sadly, injury at 16 destroyed any dream of turning professional and Martin set his sights on staying within the industry, by attempting to give tomorrow's youth the opportunity he couldn't take. At 18, Martin attended Staffordshire University and was involved with the University's Men's Soccer team. While there, he joined Stafford Town FC, a semi-professional club, playing lower league and competing in the FA Cup. It was at Stafford Town that Martin was given the opportunity to develop into a Coach and joined professional club Wolverhampton Wanderers as a Community coach. Over these four years, while completing his degree, Martin also worked for Aston Villa FC and regularly submitted Scouting reports to Stoke City FC. In 2005, Martin took a short hiatus from Soccer joining the global conglomerate Unilever as a Project Assistant. Moving to California in 2007, Martin came back to his love of Soccer and began coaching professionally once more, and in 2009, established his own organization for the professional training and youth club consultancy, Bluenose Soccer Inc. Now, Martin is ready to expand and utilize the experiences and skills developed over the past 30 years to make your dreams come true.
