Timothy Michael Green was born February 28, 1974. He is the son of Larry and Shirley Green. Larry is a car salesman for Riverside Ford in Macon, GA and has been one for over 35 years. Shirley is a nurse (RN) at the health department in Macon,GA. His parents have been married for over 30 years. Timothy has two brothers, Derrick and Larry Green Jr. Derrick is a math teacher and head basketball coach for Bacon County High School and Larry works for Primerica's corporate office in Duluth,GA. Timothy, (Tim for short) started playing basketball at the age of 6 years old. However, his first love was football in which he was extremely gifted. With his mother not to fond of the idea of her son being hit almost every other minute, she convinced Larry Sr. to put up a basketball goal. From that day Tim fell in love with the game of basketball. In 1989-1992, Tim attended high school power house Southwest High School, which was coached by Georgia Hall of Fame coach Don "Duck" Richardson. Richardson was a big influence on Tim's life because he pointed out the weaknesses in his game and that forced Tim to improve every year. It made Tim work extremely hard every summer to prove to Richardson that he was varsity material. The dream of playing for Richardson ended in 1991 when the legendary coach looked for a different challenge and embarked in coaching college basketball at Macon State College. Coach Richardson left this storied program in the hands of long time assistant Clyde Barden. Helping Coach Barden would be Ronald Taylor, who from the first time he saw Tim play, believed that he would be a vital part of Southwest's program. Having played 2 years of junior varsity and only 1 year of varsity, Tim was voted 7th best player in 4AAAA west by the Metro Times. In 1992, Tim was finally about to have his dream come true. He signed to play basketball for Macon State College and be coached by Don Richardson. Richardson, Barden, and Taylor have helped Tim become the person he is today and he will always respect them for teaching him the game of basketball and more importantly the game of life. After a year at Macon State College, Tim transferred to Middle Georgia College in Cochran,GA. to finish his junior college career. In 1996, Tim tranferred to Georgia College and State University where he tried out for their men's basketball team. Tim eventually was cut by Coach Terry Sellers due to circumstances not related to his basketball talent or moral character. Tim didn't let this stop him and organized one of the most decorated and herald traveling basketball teams in the country.....Run-N-Gun's Dynasty. Run-N-Gun went on to a mass a record of 110 wins and 15 losses, with seven state championships and one national championship in 1999. Tim was voted the national MVP in the 1999 National Pepsi 5 on 5 basketball tournament. Tim developed as a player playing with two of the best guards he's ever played with and against in Tyrell Ware and Quinton Matthews. "Quinton Matthews is the best point guard I've ever played with and against. The things he can do on the court are unreal. Tyrell Ware is simply the toughest and smoothest player I've ever seen in person. His work ethic is uncanny and his will is unmatched." Tim attended several pro tryouts and knew from that experience that he wanted to become a sports agent. Tim is a 2008 Pro Sports Group Agent graduate and has been a certified personal trainer since 1999. Tim is a member of the NSCA, a very distinguished fitness organization. One of the agents that Tim really respects and holds in high regards is Richard Avery. "When I need questions answered Richard Avery guides me when other agents would not even return my phone calls. He has helped me and continues to help me become the best agent that I can be." Tim is also a distinguished member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., the first black fraternity in history that was founded in 1906. Some of Tim's hobbies are playing chess, reading and listening to music. Tim is an avid weight lifter, who doesn't "workout" but "trains" (see Tyrell Ware for more information). Tim is also a very gifted drummer, who played throughout high school and college. Tim has a very strong motto which is "Excuses are well planned lies."
