How long has Pro Sports Group been in business?

Pro Sports Group was established in January of 1998 as "Total Sports Management." In October of 1999 Pro Sports Group officially launched ProSportsGroup.com. We are now in our 10th year of serving sports agents, business professionals and aspiring agents. No one comes close to our performance record. I am currently outside of the United States. Can I still take the Sports Agent Course?

Absolutely. Our member base includes individuals from Asia, Africa, Australia, Europe, Latin America, Canada, and the United States.

Who may register for the Sports Agent Course?

The online Sports Agent Course is geared for individuals interested in gaining a comprehensive understanding of the sports agent industry, individuals considering a career as a sports agent, and professionals interested in a career transition to the sports agent industry. With a diverse group of over 1,000 members, Pro Sports Group's members include, but are not limited to students, scouts, sports agents, sports executives, financial professionals, attorneys, and all other individuals who are interested in working with sports agents or getting involved in the sports agent industry. The miminum age for the Pro Sports Group course is 18. A parent can sign a release if they would like to have a younger person take the course.

Do I need to attend law school to become a sports agent?

No. That is the biggest myth in the sports agent industry, especially for young aspiring sports agents. It is not necessary to have a law degree to become a sports agent and represent athletes. Our Sports Agent Course provides you with the tools and knowledge you need to become a sports agent. Our Professional Package give you a very fast start to being a producing agent

How do I access the Sports Agent Course?

With the username and password that you request upon ordering, you will have access to the online Sports Agent Course 24 hours per day.

When does the Sports Agent Course begin?

You can order the course with our checkout system at any time and begin studies upon approval. This normally takes a few housrs for those in the US and 2 or 3 days for those overseas. Once setup, you have access to the course 24 hours per day with your username and password. When you purchase the course, you purchase it for life with no annual renewal fees. Members from over 8 years ago still use the site for reference, to get updated contracts, colletive bargaining agreements, and the current rules and regulations. On other courses when you finish you have to pay large sums annually to maintain a membership or to get your questions answered.

How long does it take to complete the sports agent course?

The Sports Agent Course has 8 sections. Some sections take longer to complete than others due to the amount of content and difficulty level. Depending on your schedule and free time, you can complete the course in 2-6 weeks. There is no time limit, our members have lifetime access to our sports agent course. Members from many years ago still use the site for reference and to get updated contact information and rule changes. We highly recommend that you come back twice a year for a quick reveiw of the changes in the sports your are certified and active in. This is also the best source for adding additional league creditials to your agent certification.

Are any individuals who have taken the course working as sports agents now?

Is the online Sports Agent Course accredited?

No. The difference between being accredited and non-accredited is that you will have the opportunity to receive college credits through an accredited program for an additional fee. Some sports require a degree and it is always recommended by our staff that you attain the highest level of education possible. Call for details. If the online Sports Agent Course was accredited through a college or university, then you would have to pay an additional fee to the college or university for the course credits in order for you to receive college credits. In many cases the college credits will not transfer. This course is not available through traditional college programs. The sports agent rules, regulations, contracts, are dynamic and changing. It is not necessary to have a college accredited status to learn what is required. Our Sports Agent Course provides the information you need to become a Sports Agent in the major US sports and key international sports. Our Professional Package(s) assist in moving you to the fast production track as an agent.

Does the Sports Agent Course include any textbooks or written materials?

Not at this time - the Sports Agent Course is available online. You may access the course 24 hours per day with your username and password. There are four books we recommend in all agents library. Their names are given to our agents you may purchase them off of the internet at a reduced price. Please call after signing up for the course or if you have further questions.

Can I take the course while in college?

Yes. We have many college students take the course while doing their studies.

Do I have to have a college degree to be a Sports Agent?

Not all sports or leagues require a college degree to become a sports agent. Some sports do request a college degree to be certified in their leagues. One sport requests an advanced degree. Please give us a call and we can go into greater detail on what is needed.

Will I be a Pro Sports Group agent when I finish the course?

You will be a Pro Sports Group Agent Graduate and receive a professional certification when you finish the course. You will have a detailed foundation on what it takes to be an agent, the how to, the laws and rules governoring agents in the US, your state(s), the collegiate rules, business issues, and marketing knowledge. Does the Sports Agent Directory include sports agents from all over the world?

Yes, the Sports Agent Directory includes sports agents from the United States, Canada, and all over the world. The majority of the sports agents who are outside of the United States and Canada represent golfers, soccer players, and tennis players.

The Sports Agent Directory includes the following contact information: agent/agency name, address, phone number, fax number, cellular phone number where available, and email and web site address when available.

What format is the Sports Agent Directory available in?

Due to the many requests that we received from current and prospective members, we have changed the format from html to Microsoft® Excel® form. The data is sortable in the following categories: firm name, last name, first name, address, city, state/province, zip/postal code, country, phone, fax, email, web site, etc.

Is the Sports Agent Directory available in print form as well?

Because the directory gets modified and updated periodically, it is only available. However, you may print the pages that you wish. A full hard bound copy may be purchased by calling our office. We can also put the information on a CD.

What is the significance of the

Very simple. This data includes the highest-paid athletes and their agents/agencies. Based on this information, you can contact the agents/agencies to get their complete client rosters.

How often does the Sports Agent Directory get updated?

We update the Sports Agent Directory after review quarterly.

What is the NASCAR team/marketing directory?

Just as team and individual players have agents so do NASCAR drivers. The NASCAR team/marketing directory includes the web site addresses and marketing contacts for NASCAR drivers. Keep in mind that the NASCAR team/marketing directory is part of the Sports Agent Directory. There are no additional fees required to access this directory.

We believe this is not the proper way to assist agents.

What is Agent Web Advertising?

We have thousands of athletes looking for agents come to our site each month. Our "Agent Web Advertising " program links those athletes to our listed agents but having a bio of the agent listed on the site under the sport of his certification.

How does Pro Sports Group screen the athletes?

Pro Sports Group does not screen and forward the athletes, all athlete inquiries go directly to the agents. The agent choses whether or not to put his phone,or web site on his bio page. The extremely high number of athlete leads generated has lead some agent to only use the contact submission form at the end of each bio page. The agent choses what works for him.

Can my bio be listed if I am not a Pro Sports Graduate?

If took another course but do not get adequate or any athlete leads but are a certifed agent in a major sport you may advertise but you must call us directly to confirm our certifcation standards are being meant.

ATHLETE DIRECTORY SERVICE

What is it?

This is a listing service to assist agents in contacting college athletes. For an agent needing to find or contact an athlete at a local or national college this service can be extremely helpful.

Can I use it to sell my products?

This service was not designed to be used by business professionals, only sports agents. We do not recommend it for any other use.
