O V E R V I E W

John is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ professional and President of 3 Pointe Financial Services.  His firm provides wealth management solutions for retirees, sports professionals and business owners from the Coast to the Desert to the Mountains.  Working as your personal CFO, John develops and implements financial strategies utilizing his knowledge in investments, securities and insurance.  In addition, John provides guidance on income planning, IRA tax planning, charitable giving, estate planning, qualified plans, and real estate as part of his comprehensive approach.  Prior to private practice, John served as Regional Vice President at three financial services companies where he worked directly with mutual fund managers and coached thousands of financial advisors.  His real passion is to help individuals prepare for the ever changing world of retirement.  John was born in California, raised in Montana, and now resides in both Orange County and Phoenix.  It becomes obvious when you get to know him that he enjoys traveling and the outdoors especially from the names of his sons Aspen and Canyon.

John completed his Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from California State University Long Beach.  John holds his Series 7 and 63 security licenses as well as his California, Arizona and Montana insurance licenses.  In addition, he has obtained the following industry designations:  CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ practitioner, Certified Estate Planning Professional and Certified Fund Specialist.

John is an active member of the Noble Vikings Charities, an organization focused on helping children’s charities and community development.   He also contributes his time towards several alumni fund raising events throughout the year which provide college scholarships for undergraduates.  John is an approved member of the National Ethics Bureau.
