Early Thursday morning, however, the website for PTA Sports Management listed Davis as one of its clients.
PTA founder Vincent Porter, however, says he believes someone hacked into his site and added the information that looked like Davis had signed with the agency.
In an interview with the Charlotte Observer, Porter said:
“We have no commitment, nothing verbally or written from Ed Davis.”
The Observer also reports that when Davis’ name was listed on PTA’s site, it did not include a photo and looked different from listings for other clients.
“I don’t even know if he’s going to go pro … this injury has opened up all possibilities,” Porter said.
But Porter did say that he has had contact with Davis’ family, but would offer no details on when to contact occurred.
When contacted Thursday about the issue, a UNC spokesman told the Observer that the school was looking into the matter.
